About us & What we do
Voter outreach and education.
Build community.
Building community is more essential than ever in light of recent political shifts, including Trump’s reelection, which has sparked heightened division and challenges to democratic norms. Community creates a powerful, resilient network that supports individuals, protects shared values, and amplifies collective action. When people come together, they form bonds that foster empathy, mutual understanding, and trust—qualities that are crucial in countering polarization. A united community can effectively advocate for social justice, uphold accountability, and preserve democratic principles. Through consistent dialogue, shared goals, and inclusive engagement, communities become not just a source of strength but a driving force for progress, ensuring that everyone has a voice, even in challenging times.
Voter outreach and education are more than just conversations—they’re about actively listening to the voices that too often go unheard. It’s about meeting people where they are and honoring their experiences. Every citizen, regardless of race or background, deserves an equal say in our democracy. That means ensuring that voting is accessible, that issues are clearly understood, and that candidates are transparent about where they stand. We won’t stop until everyone’s voice is not just heard, but valued and acted upon.
Empower our communities.
Empowering our community is about realizing the strength we all hold when we come together across race, place, or who we love. If you’ve never done anything ‘political’ before, you’re not alone—most of us hadn’t either until after the 2016 election. But what matters is your willingness to get involved. We joined this movement to create change, and we haven’t stopped since. Our mission is to empower others to take the lead in shaping the future of their communities. Once you recognize the power you have, nothing can hold you back. Is it easy? Absolutely not. But is it worth it? Without a doubt, yes!
Fight structural racism.
Fighting structural racism requires us all to confront uncomfortable truths and recognize our role in a system that has oppressed Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) for generations. When I say "you," I mean every one of us. This work is difficult, and it demands deep reflection and commitment, but it is absolutely necessary. Racism isn’t just about individual actions; it’s about a system—a system designed to maintain the power and privilege of White people while marginalizing BIPOC communities. This system was built through policies and practices that create and sustain racial inequities.
But just as racism is a system, so too can anti-racism be. Being anti-racist means actively working to dismantle these structures by creating new policies, practices, and procedures that promote racial equity. It’s hard work, but it’s work we can and must do together to build a society that truly values justice and equality for all.

Hold our representatives accountable.
Holding our representatives accountable is a fundamental responsibility of our democracy. As citizens, it’s up to us to ensure that our leaders act in the best interests of all people, not just corporations or the privileged few. When they stand up for progressive values that put people first, we must also recognize and support their courage. Our collective power is what drives our country forward. While we have yet to fully realize America’s promise of justice and equality for all, we can get there—together—if we never stop pushing for it. People power is everything.
Promote progressive issues.
We stand for progressive issues that uplift and protect all communities. We believe housing and healthcare are basic human rights, and we’re committed to a Green New Deal that tackles climate change while creating good jobs. We support Single Payer Healthcare, Racial Justice, and redirecting resources from policing to community investment. We believe in a woman’s right to choose, canceling student debt, closing down Aliso Canyon, and advancing LGBTQIA+ rights. We stand for criminal justice reform, and we affirm that Black Lives Matter.
We advocate for taxing the wealthiest 1% to strengthen our infrastructure and public schools. We believe in Universal Basic Income, public banking, robust social safety nets, and a pathway to citizenship for all. Immigrants enrich our communities, making them stronger and more vibrant. We stand with our teachers, support unions, fight for free college, and demand gun violence prevention laws. Our commitment to these values is unwavering because they are essential for building a just and equitable society where everyone can thrive.
Run for office.
Running for office is a powerful way to bring about change, and we’re passionate about supporting and electing progressive candidates who stand up for all our communities.
